Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Richmond, BC is seeking a cashier to join our team. You will punch and/or scan merchandise, ensure price accuracy, handle cash and media, and balance the register while meeting productivity standards.

The role offers daytime and evening shifts with 10–20 hours weekly, suitable for flexible schedules and customer-focused contributors. Experience with cash register systems is preferred; training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise selected by the customer
• Ensure accuracy of prices punched/scanned and make cancellations according to established standards
• Handle cash and media (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies
• Ensure the balance of the cash register and respect the productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute)
