Job summary

Safeway in Fort Frances is seeking a friendly cashier to keep checkout running smoothly. You will scan items, process payments, balance the register, and provide fast, helpful service during busy periods while keeping your workspace clean and organized.

You must have a high school diploma, at least six months of cashier experience, and be proficient with the cash register system. Flexibility for various shifts and a focus on teamwork are essential.

• Balance the cash register.
• Exceed productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional customer service during busy periods.
• Bag items according to standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.
