Job summary

Safeway Liquor in Calgary is seeking a friendly cashier/clerk who delivers exceptional customer service while keeping the workspace neat and inviting. You will enter or scan items, verify prices, handle payments, and balance the till as part of day-to-day store operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure entered/scanned prices are accurate, and cancel transactions according to established standards.
• Handle cash and other payment methods (debit cards, cheques, etc.) and make deposits according to established policies.
• Balance the cash register.
• Meet productivity standards (sales/hour, entries/minute).
• Provide exceptional and attentive customer service.
• Bag items according to established standards.
• Keep work areas and uniform clean and well-maintained.
• Use equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with established food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform any other related duties.
