Job summary

RXO, Inc. is seeking a sales-oriented professional in Burnaby, Canada, to cultivate carrier relationships and move freight efficiently. You will negotiate with carriers, maintain open lines of communication with customers, and schedule pickups while accounting for weather, traffic, and service needs.

The role requires at least 1 year of sales experience, with a preference for 1 year in transportation and 2 years in sales or customer service. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is valued.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process
• Ensure all parties are informed of route changes, delays, freight concerns, or other issues as necessary
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointment times while considering weather, traffic, mileage, and service requirements
• Follow established procedures regarding HVS and HRC loads to ensure shipment integrity and protect the RXO brand
• Accurately maintain and update information within company operating systems
• Conduct research in available databases for potential leads and make cold calls to prospects
• Track back-end billing and invoicing to ensure carrier charges are accurate

Compensation for this role is $50,000 - $55,000 Annually The role may also be eligible for bonus or commission pay. Actual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience and skill set.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Cultivate strong core carrier relationships while negotiating and securing carriers to move freight
• Maintain continuous communication with carriers and customers to ensure a high-quality freight movement process

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 1 year of sales experience

• The ability to exercise judgment and discretion while functioning independently within authorized limits
