Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting for Carpenter Journeyperson to join the Technical Workforce Inc. team on the Regina Specialized Long Term Care project in Regina, SK. This is a day shift with a 5-on/2-off schedule; local candidates only as there is no camp or travel allowance.

Responsibilities include building forms for concrete, cutting, shaping and joining materials, studying blueprints, erecting scaffolding, and mentoring apprentices while maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Preference for Carpenter Journeyperson Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade.
• Experience with concrete formwork required.
• Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS.
• Skid steer and zoom boom certifications are an asset.

• Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
• Study blueprints for work planning
• Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• Act as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and takes appropriate measures
• General site upkeep

At this time, this position is for local candidates only, as it does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.
This position is a 5 days on and 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
