Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Foreperson to join the Buildings team in the city ofRichmond!
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday.The position will have the opportunity for overtime, extended hours, and weekends, as required by the site's leadership.
Are you a skilled Carpenter with a passion for leadership? We’re looking for a Carpenter Foreperson to bring their expertise to our dynamic Buildings team in Richmond. This is your chance to step into a role where your talent meets opportunity.
In the role you will:
Supervise and mentor a team on-site
Work closely with site leadership and trades to maintain project flow and efficiency; support site logistics
Assist the team to lead construction activities in the field and ensure that construction goals are achieved and met or exceed client expectations
Produce work that results in an exceptional client experience
Ensure projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high-quality standards
Provide clear direction to team members you’re leading to ensure project targets are achieved
Attend and provide input at project meetings and ensure that information is transmitted to those on your field team
Assess the target production goals, establish a team workflow, and execute the plan to achieve it
Efficiently and safely use the relevant tools and equipment needed to produce the various assemblies and layouts for the project
Support and maintain a healthy, happy, productive work environment and culture
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional presentation of the work site
Requirements:
Holding a valid Journeyperson ticket is an asset
Buildings/commercial experience is an asset
You have an understanding of construction phases, project schedules, and workflows
Can proficiently describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
