Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting Carpenter Apprentices to join the Technical Workforce Inc. team on the Regina Specialized Long Term Care project in Regina, SK.

This local-only role features a 5 days on, 2 days off schedule with the possibility of working afternoons, evenings, and weekends. No camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance are provided.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority.
• Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade.
• Experience with concrete formwork required.
• Certifications: CSTS & WHMIS.
• Fall Protection is an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Build forms for concrete.
• Cut, shape, and join.
• Look for and fix deficiencies.
• Building of hoarding and other temporary structures.
• Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required.
• Study blueprints for work planning.
• Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete.
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures.
• General site upkeep.
