The carpenter is responsible for setting/placing/stripping of all formed surfaces.
Required knowledge includes: construction, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control and safety.
The carpenter must be proficient at the following tasks: loose and gang form walls, suspended slab, flatwork, water retaining structures, architectural exposed, stairs, formwork, and reading blueprints. The carpenter must also possess the mathematical and analytical skills necessary to do materials estimates.
Minimum 5 years of formwork experience
Experienced with a large general contractor
Current journeyman carpenter’s certificate; Red Seal is an asset
Valid EWP and fall protection tickets are a plus
CSTS 2020 is required
Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract preferred
Some travel to location may be required
Knowledge of the safe operation of basic hand and power tools; able to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures, first aid, and CPR
