Carpenter – Commercial Service

$25-34/hr | Company Vehicle | Benefits | RRSP | Year-Round Work

We are looking for an experienced Carpenter – Commercial Service to join our team. This is a hands‑on position for a skilled carpenter who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and working at different commercial customer locations. The ideal candidate has solid carpentry experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working independently on commercial repairs, maintenance, and installation projects.

What You’ll Do

• Perform commercial carpentry, repair, maintenance, and installation work.
• Install and repair commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
• Perform cabinetry, millwork, and finishing carpentry.
• Complete framing, drywall, and finishing repairs.
• Install and repair suspended ceilings and ceiling tile.
• Perform general commercial building repairs and maintenance.
• Read and interpret work orders, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and install materials accurately.
• Troubleshoot problems and determine practical repair solutions.
• Identify deficiencies or additional work and communicate them to the appropriate supervisor.
• Work professionally around customers, tenants, and other trades.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and an organized work area.
• Follow company safety procedures and job‑site requirements.
• Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of carpentry experience, with commercial experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial service, repair, maintenance, or renovation work.
• Experience with doors, frames, and hardware.
• Working knowledge of framing, drywall, ceilings, cabinetry, millwork, and general building repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work orders.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned work efficiently.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Reliable, organized, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Red Seal Carpenter certification is an asset, but not required.
