Job summary

Kibbi in Vancouver is seeking an experienced carpenter to prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape and build components for wooden structures. You will work to building codes, install foundations, floors, walls, roofs, and supervise other workers on site.

This permanent full-time role offers 40 hours weekly, English language requirement, and opportunities to work across mills, hospitals and industrial settings in the Vancouver region.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of construction experience.
• Ability to read and follow building codes.
• Proficient English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials for wood and substitutes.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Supervise other workers on site.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings.
