Job description

Carpenter/Handyman

$28 - 33 per hour

Same site every day for 2 year project

Monday - Friday schedule with the opportunity for overtime and leadership for the right individual

We are seeking skilled Carpenters and Handymen. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of doors and hardware, including lever sets, weather strips, door closures, panic doors, and door stops. You will work with or lead a team of five people and must be able to work independently while following step-by-step installation instructions with precision.

The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all-trades with strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capability to navigate iPads for documentation and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install doors, hardware, and related components with accuracy and efficiency
• Wire panic doors and ensure proper function
• Lead and manage a team of up to five individuals, delegating tasks effectively
• Read and interpret instructions, blueprints, and change orders
• Ensure quality craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications

Required Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience as a finishing carpenter or in a specialty sub-trade i.e. glazing, finishing, installation technician etc.
• Experience leading teams or working with teams up to five people
• Experience working on a large scale commercial project
• Basic power and hand tools (cordless drill, driver bits, screwdriver, saw, angle grinder, tape measure)
• Strong ability to follow instructions and execute step-by-step installations
• Excellent communication skills verbal and comprehension
• Leadership experience in carpentry or related trades
• Installation Technician experience
• Able to use ipads for blueprint reading

Pay and Benefits
