Position Overview

The Carpenter performs maintenance on company-owned buildings, including work on wood, steel, and concrete structures, as well as roofing and painting.

What You Will Do

• Manufacture and repair interior trims and finishes.
• Manufacture and repair office furniture, equipment, and wooden constructions.
• Construct and repair wooden packing crates for aircraft parts and equipment, following engineering data and company procedures.
• Complete drywall installation and wood & metal framing.
• Assist other maintenance trades as required.
• Attend training for professional development.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and directives.

What You Will Bring

• Graduation from a recognized carpentry program or apprenticeship, Journeyman Certificate, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of carpentry experience.
• Experience with equipment such as saws, drills, routers, and other power tools.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Valid NS Class 5 Driver’s License and ability to operate company vehicles.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Participation in continuous improvement activities.
• Eligibility for Canadian CGP, U.S. ITAR, and Canadian security clearances.
