Job summary

Northumberland Group in Cornwall, PEI seeks a skilled carpenter to support day-to-day on-site construction from excavation to completion on single and semi-detached residential projects. You will report to the General Manager and site foreman and perform hands-on carpentry duties.

The role requires minimum 3 years in residential construction, WHMIS and Standard First Aid, with fall-protection certificates considered assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential construction.
• WHMIS certificate required.
• Standard First Aid certification.
• Fall protection or other safety certificates are assets.

Responsibilities

• Work with a crew to complete building tasks on-site.
• Perform tasks described by NOC 72310.
• Concrete work including foundation setup.
• Frame and erect walls.
• Set and install roof trusses and roofing.
• Install exterior finishes (windows/doors/gutters/siding/decks).
• Install interior finishes (doors/trim/flooring/cabinets).

Northumberland Group is seeking a Skilled Carpenter in Cornwall, PE.

Answering to the company General Manager and site foreman, the Skilled Carpenter will be responsible for a variety of on-site duties required for day-to-day construction operations.

Job Duties will include:

• Working with a crew to complete buildings tasks
• Performs common occupational skills (NOC 72310)
• Concrete work (foundation setup)
• Framing and erecting walls
• Set and install roof trusses, and install roofing
• Installing exterior finishes (windows/doors/gutters/siding/decks/etc.)
• Installing interior finishes (doors/trim/flooring/cabinets/etc.)
