Qualifications

• Previous industrial, commercial, or heavy construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and construction practices.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with common hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry and construction work on industrial and commercial projects.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
• Construct, install, and dismantle forms for foundations, equipment bases, walls, slabs, and other structures.
• Build and install temporary structures, platforms, barricades, access systems, and other jobsite requirements.
• Perform framing, layout, measuring, cutting, and installation of materials.
• Install doors, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other components.
• Assist with concrete preparation, forming, pouring, and finishing activities.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Work with supervisors and other trades to complete projects safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

D7 Mechanical Ltd. is a growing industrial construction across a variety of industrial facilities. We are looking for skilled and dependable Carpenters to join our team and support our construction and industrial projects.

Position Summary

The Carpenter will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and general construction duties on industrial and commercial projects. The successful candidate will be able to work independently as well as part of a crew while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general carpentry and construction work on industrial and commercial projects.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project plans.
• Construct, install, and dismantle forms for concrete foundations, equipment bases, walls, slabs, and other structures.
• Build and install temporary structures, platforms, barricades, access systems, and other jobsite requirements.
• Perform framing, layout, measuring, cutting, and installation of various materials.
• Install doors, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other building components as required.
• Assist with concrete preparation, forming, pouring, and finishing activities.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Perform demolition, renovations, repairs, and general maintenance as required.
• Work closely with supervisors, foremen, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Complete work in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is an asset.
• Ability to travel and work on project sites as required.
