Job summary

Saggu Finishing Woodworks Ltd in Calgary, Alberta seeks a skilled woodworker to assemble and fit wood products on site.

Responsibilities include preparing layouts per building codes, measuring, cutting, joining materials, installing windows/doors, erecting walls and roof systems, and maintaining buildings and wooden structures in mills, hospitals and industrial settings. On-site work only with a demanding workload and tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
