J&J Freshlook Homes Ltd in British Columbia is seeking a skilled carpenter to join our on-site construction teams across multiple locations. The role involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting, installing doors/windows, and coordinating site work to meet tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 1 year to 2 years of experience, good communication in English, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Prepare tenders and quotations.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
• Supervise other workers.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments.
