Job summary

GardaWorld is seeking a vigilant Industrial Security Guard for our client in High River, Alberta. You will monitor facilities, perform outdoor inspections and trailer checks, and support transport operations while ensuring safety and compliance.

Training opportunities are provided through GardaWorld Academy. We offer 12-hour shift flexibility, uniform provided, and pathways for career growth within GardaWorld.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Alberta security license
• Full Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle
• Available to work 12 hour shifts - days and nights
• Strong report writing skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing trailers, verifying condition, temperature settings, seals and transport readiness
• Monitor refrigerated trailers and conduct regular temperature checks to ensure compliance and product integrity
• Verify trailer weights, axle configurations, and load compliance using truck scales
• Review and process shipping documents, bills of lading, scale tickets and transportation records
• Seal trailers and confirm shipment requirements prior to departure
• Maintain accurate inspection, shipment, and compliance records using site systems
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and plant departments to support daily transportation operations
• Investigate and document temperature deviations, trailer discrepancies and operational issues
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions while performing inspections, yard checks, and transportation related duties

As a Cargill Industrial Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalated in environments such as security operation centres , call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

This position is located in High River, Alberta.
