Job summary

The University of Lethbridge is seeking a part-time, continuing position as a Caretaker. This role is responsible for janitorial work including floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, general cleaning, and recycling.

Reporting to the Manager, Caretaking Services, this position will assist with minor maintenance projects and operate cleaning equipment as described. The Caretaker will need to meet the Caretaking Expectations, follow standard operating procedures, and safe work

• Caretaking responsibilities and required adherence to standard operating procedures and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Janitorial work including floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, floor refinishing, general cleaning, and recycling.
• Assist with minor maintenance projects.
• Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., lifts, polishers, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, back vacuums).
• May be required to fully clean residence apartments for move out/in.

This position will assist with the completion of minor maintenance projects, operating cleaning equipment (i.e. lifts, polishers, auto-scrubbers, burnishers, back vacuums, and other cleaning equipment). This position is responsible at times to fully clean residence apartments for move out/move in as required.

This Caretaker will need to meet the Caretaking Expectations, follow standard operating procedures, and safe work practices.
