Rocky View Schools (RVS) is inviting applications for a continuing, full-time Caretaker I at Bow Valley High School in Cochrane. The role involves after-school hours, Monday to Friday, with occasional 1–2 day shifts per month according to the school calendar, under supervision of the Head Building Operator.

The Caretaker I will perform housekeeping, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a tidy, safe environment. Experience in cleaning and safety compliance is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
• Certifications from cleaning organization is an asset.
• Previous experience within a school division is an asset.
• An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks to keep buildings in clean, sanitary condition.

The Opportunity

RVS is currently seeking applications for a continuing, full-time (40 hrs/week) Caretaker I position to provide routine cleaning duties at Bow Valley High School starting immediately withMonday to Friday after school hours with the exceptionof 1-2 day shifts per month (as per School Year Calendar).Under the supervision of the Head Building Operator and Building Operator, the Caretaker I provides caretaking services at their assigned Rocky View Schools (RVS) facilities. The Caretaker I is responsible for the housekeeping of school buildings, maintaining contents and furnishings in good appearance and inclean, tidy, sanitary condition, as assigned by their supervisor.

Responsibilities Include

• Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks
• Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment

• Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation

Education/Experience

Knowledge/Skills

• Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
