Rocky View Schools (RVS) is seeking a continuing, part-time Caretaker I for A.E. Bowers Elementary School in Airdrie. The position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday after school, with 1-2 day shifts per month as per the school year calendar.

Responsibilities include cleaning, upkeep of facilities, and safety compliance. The successful candidate will support a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment, with pre-employment checks and references required.

Qualificações

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous cleaning experience is an asset.

The Opportunity

RVS is currently seeking applications for a continuing, part-time (30 hrs/week) Caretaker I position to provide routine cleaning duties at A.E. Bowers Elementary School starting immediately. Monday to Friday after school hours with the exceptionof 1-2 day shifts per month (as per School Year Calendar).

Under the supervision of the Head Building Operator and Building Operator, the Caretaker I providescaretaking services attheir assigned RVS facilities. The Caretaker I is responsiblefor the housekeeping of school buildings, maintaining contents and furnishings in good appearance and inclean, tidy, sanitary condition, as assigned by their supervisor.

Education/Experience

• Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
• Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset
• Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
• An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered

Knowledge/Skills

• Basic knowledge of proper cleaning procedures
• Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimalsupervision
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
