Job summary

Business maintenance and Construction in Glace Bay, NS is seeking a caretaker to manage building maintenance on site. The role is permanent full-time with daytime shifts and starts as soon as possible. Salary is $32.00 per hour for 35–40 hours per week.

On-site work at the physical location is required with no remote option. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada and meet the education requirement of a secondary school graduation certificate.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.

• Balance rent roll.
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• Perform safety and security checks.
• Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Work with minimal supervision.
