Job summary

Always Best Care Senior Services - Calgary is seeking a compassionate home care aide to support seniors in their own homes. You will assist with daily activities, provide companionship, and help maintain health and well-being under supervision.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, safe mobility assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. A valid driver’s license and healthcare certifications are required, with residency in Canada preferred.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certification is mandatory.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Prior caregiver experience is preferred.
• Canadian residency is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, transfers, and medication reminders.
• Encourage and assist with prescribed exercise routines within caregiver scope.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry and cleaning.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' health.

• Prepare and serve meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences

Requirements
