Job summary

Elder Care in Rideau Lakes, Ontario is seeking a compassionate in-home care aide to support my elderly mother and her husband. The role is part-time, live-out, 4–6 hours per day, 3 days a week, providing companionship and practical help in their own home.

I am looking for elder care in the Rideau Lakes area in Ontario to provide support and companionship for my mother and her husband (both in their late 80's) in their own home.

My elderly mother is managing the household on her own, and is in need of 4-6 hours a day, 3 days a week to focus on her own tasks, while knowing her husband is being cared for.

She needs a break to arrange their schedule, manage appointments, catch up on paperwork, or simply take some time for herself.

Her husband is in a wheelchair, and requires assistance around the house, in and out of the wheelchair, and in and out of the car. He is weak and prone to falling.

We need someone who is caring, respectful and knows how to be supportive, quietly share the space and perform light duties around the house. For example, one could prepare a meal, do some baking, light housework, simple garden tasks, assist with getting to appointments, or just quietly enjoy a cup of tea.

He does not need someone constantly by his side, but does need monitoring and a regular check-in.

The position is available as a live-out opportunity, ensuring the flexibility and comfort of working in their family home environment.

This is a part-time role, ideal for those who wish to balance other commitments while making a meaningful difference in someone's life. Your responsibilities will include home care, ensuring the environment is safe and comfortable, and personal care, assisting with daily activities as needed.
