Job summary

Dounemount Care Home, located on the outskirts of Macduff, offers residential, dementia, nursing and respite care for 34 residents, ensuring top-quality support in a tranquil setting.

As a Care Assistant, you will support daily living activities, follow care plans and contribute to safe, compassionate care. Full training and ongoing development are provided to help you grow. This role suits both experienced carers and those new to care.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.

• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ Level 2 is desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to ensure safe care.
• Contribute to a warm, supportive environment and deliver person-centred care with dignity and independence.
• Work as part of a team with ongoing training and development provided.

Our care home, located on the outskirts of Macduff, offers excellent Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 34-residents, ensuring top-quality support in a tranquil setting

Care Assistant Contract

• £13.60 per hour
• Contracted to 33 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Care Assistant, you will make a meaningful difference in our residents lives everyday. This role is central to delivering high quality, person centred care that supports dignity, independence and overall wellbeing.

You will support individuals with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing, helping them feel comfortable, respected and valued. By following care plans and recognising changes in condition, you will contribute to safe, responsive and consistent care.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a warm and positive environment where relationships matter and people feel truly cared for. This opportunity is open to both experienced carers and those new to care, with full training, guidance and ongoing development provided to support your journey.
