Your Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity within Cardiac Arrhythmia Services at the CK Hui Heart Centre. The Cardiology Technologist II (CT II) will utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide exceptional care to individuals with implanted cardiac devices. Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, education, administration, and evaluation of health services through in-person visits, telephone encounters, and online sessions via Zoom/Teams. The CT will handle remote device monitoring, interrogations, and programming within the Cardiac Device Clinic and Pacemaker Implant Suite.
Working closely within an interdisciplinary team, you will help establish standards and provide expertise in new equipment evaluation. Physical demands include standing for extended periods in lead attire, pushing/pulling/transporting over 75 lbs, repetitive typing/computer/telephone work, and lifting, bending, and reaching for prolonged periods. This role offers a high level of autonomy and accountability, including coordinating follow-up visits, testing, and patient/family education on devices, medications, lifestyle changes, and procedures within your scope of practice.
The successful applicant may work full-time hours during the 3-6 month orientation. Staff at the CK Hui Heart Centre serve a diverse patient population and are expected to participate in quality improvement activities, ongoing professional development, and to provide safe, patient-centered care aligned with AHS values.
