Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with critical care background to join the Royal Columbian Hospital ICU in New Westminster, BC. You will provide advanced respiratory and cardiac support and comprehensive nursing care in a Level One Trauma Centre.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing with current BC RN registration (BCCNM).
• Post graduate course work or equivalent experience preferred.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Strong assessment, planning and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with interprofessional care team.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect data to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinate nursing care; set priorities and assign tasks.
• Collaborate with doctors, RNs, and care team for care plans.
• Teach patients and families about health and discharge plans.
• Document assessments, plans, outcomes, and referrals clearly.
