Job summary

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer for the Diagnostic Imaging department at Valley Regional Hospital. This casual, long-assignment role involves performing Echo ultrasound exams and contributing to patient care in a tertiary setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.
• NSCMIRTP licensure with Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience preferred.
• Experience with advanced echoes and related equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform Echo ultrasound examinations as requested in department standards.
• Assist in diagnosis and treatment planning for cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and the imaging team to ensure quality care.

Education
