Job summary

Humber River Health in Toronto is seeking a Cardiology Technologist to join the Cardio Diagnostics Team on a temporary full-time basis. You will perform non-invasive cardiac testing, manage device interrogations, and support patient education as part of a high-reliability care initiative.

The role requires CSCT certification, cardiac diagnostic training, and BCLS, with experience in arrhythmia interpretation and pacemaker care.

Qualifications

• CSCT certification with good standing.
• Cardiac diagnostic course or equivalent.
• BCLS provider certification.
• Certified to perform exercise stress testing, holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and device interrogation/programming.
• Experience in arrhythmia interpretation, pacemaker care and advanced cardiac knowledge.
• OR experience is an asset; able to work full shifts wearing a mask and lead apron.
• Minimum 1 year experience related to cardiac device testing.
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environment and able to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, receptive to feedback.
• Computer proficiency with MUSE and Meditech preferred.
• Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provides non-invasive diagnostic cardiac testing including Stress Testing, ECG, Holter setup and scanning, Ambulatory BP setup and reporting, and simple Spirometry.
• Performs safe diagnostic examinations and adjustments with respect to cardiac devices (CIEDs).
• Collaborates with physicians to address concerns identified during device interrogation (troubleshooting).
• Assists in device implantation and analyzer software/programmers; responds to emergencies as needed.
• Participates in patient and family education post-implant.
• Operates and troubleshoots device clinic equipment and maintains concise documentation per policies.
