Job summary

Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge is seeking a Part-time Cardiac Technologist to support the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit. You will perform ECGs, treadmill stress tests, Holter monitoring and 12-lead arrhythmia interpretations, working with physicians and staff in a collaborative team.

The role requires CSCT/OSCT memberships and current BLS certification, with shifts including weekends and short-notice coverage.

Qualifications

  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a recognized Cardiovascular Technologist program required.
  • Member of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) required.
  • Member of the Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists (OSCT) required.
  • Experience with ECGs, stress testing, Holter, and 12-lead arrhythmia interpretation.
  • Advanced arrhythmia skills preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Regular attendance is required.

Job Description

Salary Range:$38.90 - $46.31


Positon Summary:


Part time position to work rotating shifts in Cardiac Diagnostic Unit, including weekend shifts and availability at short notice. The Cardiac Technologist performs cardiac testing, including: Electrocardiograms, Stress Testing, Nuclear Stress testing, Holter hook-ups and scanning. The incumbent has experience in 12 lead arrhythmia interpretation skills. Advanced arrhythmia skills preferred. The Cardiac Technologist has the ability to work efficiently and accurately with Physicians during test procedures and with staff in a team structure.


Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.


Qualifications Required:



  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent required.

  • Completion of a recognized Cardiovascular Technologist program required.

  • Member of the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologist (CSCT) required.

  • Member of the Ontario Society of Cardiology Technologists (OSCT) required.

  • Experience in ECGs, Cardiac Stress Testing, Holter scanning, and 12 lead arrhythmia interpretation required.

  • Advanced arrhythmia skills are preferred.

  • Current BLSC certification required.

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
