Job summary

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level.
  • CSCT exam completed or to be completed within one year of hire.
  • One of pacemaker program completion, or IBHRE CCDS exam, or two years related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate arrhythmia management and evaluate device function.
  • Perform tests and calculations to determine optimum safety values for CIED devices.
  • Assist during implant procedures and set device values post-implant.
  • Support clinic, OR and procedure room activities for patient care.
  • Manage follow-up device analyses, interrogations and programming.
  • Participate in remote monitoring and device advisories.
  • Maintain and review patient records and device histories.
  • Respond to device-related queries from staff and physicians.
  • Assist in developing standards and educational materials for the Heart Rhythm program.
  • Contribute to device selection, ordering, and equipment readiness.
  • Provide guidance to physicians and staff on device functions and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure equipment readiness for scheduled procedures and collaborate with Biomedical Engineering.
  • Maintain equipment, stock, and labeling; support lab/storage organization.
  • Work with colleagues to meet service benchmarks and support patient care goals.
  • Explain device screen systems to patients and monitor cardiac devices.
  • Record ECGs and device data in management systems per policy.
  • Support training and orientation for staff and students.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
