Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Canadian ATPL is required.
• Total time of 4000 hours minimum.
• 2500 MPIC (over 5700 kg) experience.
• 500 hours on a jet aircraft is an asset.
• High Arctic experience is an asset.

• Passport to travel to US and Europe required.
• Able to obtain RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
• Strong safety culture and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing.

As an Avro RJ Captain with Summit Air, you are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft with a passion for customer service and prioritizing safety for our clients.

Summit Air, headquartered in Yellowknife, NWT, operates across Canada, specializing in passenger charters, cargo transport, and customized flight solutions for industry-leading clients with a legacy of excellence in northern and remote aviation. We’re growing our fleet in the Quebec area and are seeking experienced RJ Captains.

As we expand our fleet in Quebec and enter new markets to support our growing client base, we are seeking local, skilled RJ Pilots to join our team either in Ottawa or Montreal. If you are committed to safety, professionalism, and operational excellence, we want to hear from you.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently throughout Northern Canada as PIC in accordance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Stay current with all available flight information, including weather, and applicable NOTAMs where available, and verify type A flight plans for accuracy
• Participate in the aircraft pre-flight inspection, as well as all post-flight duties
