Job summary

Summit Air is seeking a Pilot-in-Command to operate Avro RJ aircraft safely across Northern Canada, ensuring rigorous pre-flight and post-flight duties are completed with a steadfast safety mindset.

Candidates must hold a Canadian ATPL, with 4,000+ total hours and 2,500+ MPIC hours on aircraft over 5,700 kg; jet time and Arctic experience are assets.

Qualifications

• ATPL required for command position.
• Minimum 4,000 hours total time.
• Minimum 2,500 MPIC hours on aircraft >5,700 kg.
• 500 hours on a jet aircraft is an asset.
• High Arctic experience is an asset.
• Glass cockpit experience is an asset.
• Valid passport with ability to travel to US and Europe.
• Ability to obtain a Canadian RAIC.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with unwavering safety commitment.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute flights throughout Northern Canada, staying current with all available flight information, including weather and applicable NOTAMs.
• Verify Type A flight plans for accuracy and ensure rigorous pre-flight preparation.
• Lead and participate in thorough aircraft pre-flight inspections and complete all post-flight duties.
• Champion a strong safety culture and effective crew communication on every mission.

What you bring
