Job summary

City of Kamloops seeks a temporary, full-time Project Coordinator – Capital Projects – Training Opportunity to shape infrastructure for the city. You’ll convert blueprints into real-world outcomes, benefiting thousands daily and gaining hands-on experience across roads, water systems, and public spaces.

The training path progresses toward a fully qualified role; pay starts at Grade 14, $51.132/hour, with potential move to Grade 15 after meeting experience targets.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Eligible for ASTTBC certification or equivalent.
• Two years' experience in a project coordinator role for public infrastructure.
• Two years' experience in contract administration.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction of public infrastructure including waterworks, sewerage, roads and structures.
• Oversee design of public infrastructure including waterworks, sewerage, roads and structures.
• Contract administration under the supervision of a Project Manager.
