Job summary

City of Kamloops is seeking a permanent, full-time Project Coordinator – Capital Projects to shape infrastructure like roads, water systems, and public spaces. You will turn blueprints into real-world improvements benefitting thousands daily.

The successful candidate will have a 2-year Civil Engineering Technology diploma, ASTTBC eligibility, and 5+ years in a similar role, plus a valid BC driver’s license. This is a CUPE Local 900 unionized position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Eligible for ASTTBC certification or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in project coordination for public infrastructure or engineering projects.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• Completion of a two-year diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Eligible for certification as an Applied Science Technologist with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) or equivalent.
• Minimum of five years' previous experience in a project coordinator role overseeing the construction of public infrastructure including waterworks, sewerage, roads, and structures.
  OR
  Minimum of five years' previous experience in an engineering role overseeing the design of public infrastructure including waterworks, sewerage, roads, and structures.
• Minimum of two years’ previous experience in contract administration under the supervision of a Project Manager.
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's Licence.
