Job summary

Wonderbrands is seeking a Project Engineer – Capital Projects to join the Engineering team in the Greater Toronto Area. You will manage a portfolio of capital initiatives across multiple bakery facilities, guiding projects from scope through commissioning and handover.

This role requires coordinating with contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, safe, and compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Civil)
• 3–4+ years of engineering and capital project experience
• PMP or other recognized project management certification
• Willingness to travel periodically to bakery locations across Canada
• Experience with production-line installations, plant expansions, and utility projects

Responsibilities

• Capital Project Management: lead and support multiple capital projects across bakery facilities in Canada.
• Growth & Expansion Projects: support bakery expansions, new lines, new equipment, and facility upgrades.
• Infrastructure & Engineering Projects: oversee electrical, HVAC, utilities, and building infrastructure initiatives.
• Project Execution: coordinate engineers, contractors, and suppliers; ensure safety and compliance; handover assets to operations
