Job summary

Bunge in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Capacity Planner to execute the commercial crush plan by aligning inbound grain deliveries with inventory, logistics and facility scheduling to maximize efficiencies and profit.

You will create and manage inbound schedules, oversee outbound truck meal schedules, support with truck meal trading, manage seed inventory, adjust plans as supply and demand change, and coordinate with logistics, operations and rail partners.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of logistics planning or related roles.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Agriculture preferred.
  • Experience coordinating inbound/outbound logistics and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage inbound grain schedule and outbound truck meal schedule.
  • Support commercial activity including truck meal trading and logistics.
  • Manage seed inventory and ensure product quality aligns with customer specs.
  • Adjust schedules proactively in response to supply, demand, or production changes.
  • Coordinate freight, rate negotiations, and inbound/outbound scheduling.
  • Support local logistics to align outbound transport with the commercial plan.
  • Coordinate with local rail companies and service providers.

Role Purpose

The Capacity Planner is responsible for executing the commercial crush plan by aligning inbound delivery schedule with inventory, logistics, and facility scheduling to maximize efficiencies, productivity, and profit at the Crush facility.

Main Accountabilities
  • Create and manage inbound grain schedule to ensure seamless execution of the commercial crush plan and oversee the outbound truck meal schedule
  • Support commercial activity by assisting with truck meal trading and logistics
  • Seed inventory management ensuring operational alignment with commercial activity, alignment of product quality ensuring customer specifications are met and efficiencies maximized
  • Proactively adjust schedules and communicate in response to changes in supply, demand, or production, ensuring stakeholder alignment across commercial, operations, and logistics teams
  • Execution of truck freight, rate negotiation and scheduling of inbound seed and outbound meal
  • Support local logistics as needed to ensure outbound transportation is consistent with commercial plan and facility production
  • Support coordination as needed with related local rail company(s) and service

Education & Experience
  • Recommended five (5) years minimum experience in logistics planning, inventory management, or commercial trading roles.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Agriculture considered a plus.

The compensation for this position starts at $79,884.00. In addition to the regular compensation, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive as well as benefits.
