Job summary

Irving Shipbuilding seeks an experienced IBNS Capability Lead to manage the full lifecycle of Integrated Bridge Navigation System capabilities for the River Class Destroyer program. You will provide leadership across design, integration, testing, stakeholder engagement, and subcontractor management to ensure delivery and acceptance of this critical ship capability.

Qualifications

• B.Eng. with P.Eng. designation, or equivalent.
• Experience as Technical Authority for ship systems, shipyard operations, or engineering design functions.
• Strong knowledge of maritime Combat Systems, with expertise in navigation systems.
• Direct experience in ship design, construction, systems integration, or a related discipline.
• Ability to analyze complex system designs, work within 3D ship models and simulations, and develop technical documentation, specifications, presentations, and reports.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience developing and managing subcontractor Statements of Work.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
