Job summary

Tokyo Smoke is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support profitability and guest experiences in a dynamic cannabis retail setting. You will work as the Store Manager’s right hand, driving sales and brand awareness while coaching a team of sales staff and ensuring compliance with regulations.

The role requires leadership experience in retail, a passion for learning, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years in retail or related service industry.
• Minimum 1 year in a leadership capacity.
• Minimum 1 year in a unionized environment.
• High School diploma or post-secondary education in business accounting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Meet sales targets and help achieve profitability by supporting the Store Manager in controlling costs.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and cultivate lasting customer relationships; set the tone for staff.
• Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, campaigns and promotions.
• Assist with staffing, recruitment, training and staff development.
• Support staff scheduling to meet business needs.
• Assist with store audits, health and safety programs, and compliance.
