Job summary

Value Buds is seeking a motivated Keyholder/Shift Lead to join our cannabis retail team in Ontario. You’ll be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional service while helping customers navigate the world of cannabis and supporting teammates during shifts.

This role emphasizes ownership, regulatory compliance, merchandising, and store upkeep in a fast-paced setting with hands-on training and ongoing product education.

Qualifications

• Retail, customer service, or hospitality experience required.
• Cannabis selling certification required (Selling It Right, SellSafe, CRTP, CRWTP, or CanSell).
• Minimum age requirement per province (18/19+) required.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Eligible to pass a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming experience for every customer.
• Provide product recommendations and cannabis education.
• Support daily operations including merchandising and store upkeep.
• Operate the POS, handle payments, and issue receipts.
• Restock shelves, receive deliveries, and complete basic inventory checks.
• Ensure compliance with cannabis regulations, including ID verification.
