Job summary

Coface Canada is seeking a Risk Underwriter to join our Canadian Risk Underwriting team. You will perform financial analysis, approve credit limits within your delegation, and monitor the portfolio to mitigate losses.

You will inform policyholders of credit decisions, support the Commercial Team to retain and grow client relationships, and liaise with Coface entities abroad. Industry reviews and relationship building with brokers are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance with an insurance focus.
• 1–3 years in a financial analysis role.
• Working knowledge of credit insurance industry is a plus.
• Ability to analyze financial statements and sector/country data.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis based on information from infoline and macro knowledge.
• Approve credit limits with delegated authority considering policy characteristics.
• Closely monitor the Canadian portfolio to mitigate losses.
• Explain credit decisions to policyholders clearly.
• Support the Commercial Team to retain and develop client relationships.
• Coordinate with Coface entities in other countries.
• Conduct industry reviews.
