Job summary

Capital One Canada is seeking a Senior Director, Risk Management to lead the Canada Card Risk Office. You will drive risk identification, assessment and mitigation in collaboration with business leaders, Legal, Compliance and enterprise partners.

You will ensure risk processes meet regulatory expectations and internal policies. You will work with stakeholders to implement laws and regulations, monitor the regulatory environment, and support risk governance across the Canada business for

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in Risk Management, Project Management, Compliance or Process Management.
• Experience managing people and leading a team.
• Excellent communication and ability to interact with executives and cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Support Canada Business in identifying and managing risk across activities, products and processes.
• Promote a culture of risk awareness and clear accountability up to senior leadership.
• Oversee control testing and governance aligned with COSO framework.
• Oversee risk event management with timely identification and escalation of issues.
• Review and update risk and compliance policies to adapt to regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with 1A Business and Second Line to monitor regulatory trends and assess impacts.
• Support internal audits and regulatory exams (OSFI, FCAC, OCC) and resolve findings.
