The Warehouse Supervisor, reporting to the Plant Manager, is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehouse activities including shipping and receiving raw materials and/or finished goods and maintaining inventory and associated records. In addition to supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in receiving, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping and maintaining stock records in warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion of the ERP System; manage finished goods inventory, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged and oversee cycle counts and reconciliation activities.
- Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas including – filling and shipping customer orders; satisfying internal shipping requirements (technical service, vendors, etc.); ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation; receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area(s) or personnel; filling work orders from production; packaging assemblies and receiving into finished goods.
- Establish and/or adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and workflow.
- Recommends measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and equipment performance.
- Participate in the safety program by conducting daily inspections of the warehouse, docks, silos, and parking lot.
- Continuously improve warehouse operations and work together with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments and serving internal customers.
- Responsible for warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company organizational policies/procedures and applicable laws/regulations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining mobile equipment.
- Responsible for conducting him/herself in a safe manner and adhering to all required safety protocols and policies.
- Required to wear PPE properly in accordance with company standards.
- May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in procurement or logistics
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Experience supervising or managing a team
