Job description

Position Summary

This position is responsible, with support from the Maintenance Manager, for overseeing all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical support of equipment and facilities (both in-house and contracted). This is achieved through leading-edge proactive and preventative maintenance processes.

What You'll Do

• Manage calls for maintenance support and assign appropriate resources.
• Coordinate work order and preventative maintenance assignments. Review completed tasks and work orders to ensure proper procedures are followed, repairs are effective, and tasks are completed properly.
• Ensure maintenance associates are properly trained and hold valid certifications for all aspects of their roles and responsibilities.
• Guide and support maintenance associates, addressing any issues or concerns. If additional support is needed, inform and involve the Maintenance Manager.
• Coordinate and manage outside contractors performing work on the grounds or in the facility. Ensure proper training, certification, and safety procedures are maintained for all contractors.
• Track hours and manage shift assignments or coverage requirements daily.
• Communicate ongoing projects that impact the business to all departments, including repair or preventative maintenance activities. Update and escalate as appropriate following established procedures.
• Prepare daily shift reports and review system error logs every 2 hours. Provide ongoing updates and system performance reviews with the Maintenance Manager.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates must possess a valid tradesman's certification, which includes:

• 309A Construction and Maintenance Certificate OR
• 442A Industrial Electrician Certificate OR
• 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate
