Job description

Position Summary

Reporting to Director, Price Activation, this role is aligned to one of the merchandising business units and is a key member of the Merchant matrix team. This role is responsible for direct weekly support of pricing decision making and price management working alongside the merchants as the subject matter expert to ensure ongoing achievement of price gap goals and other strategic pricing metrics.

What you'll do...

1. Actively works alongside the Sr Directors and Category Managers as the subject matter expert, to support weekly pricing decision making, and ensure ongoing achievement of price gap goals and other strategic pricing metrics as well as manage P&L requirements.
2. Provide guidance and reinforce pricing governance to ensure aligned pricing strategy is maintained with the support of pricing systems & tools.
3. Liaise with Pricing Strategy & Pricing Analytics teams as the SBU pricing expert, to provide insights and analytics to the merchant team as required to proactively manage price.
4. Embedded into the Merchant matrix team to provide change management support within merchant organization, initially for the Price Leadership Strategic project initiatives, and ongoing for all pricing strategy, compliance, promotional mechanic, and price communication change within the organization.
5. Responsible for providing SBU/Dept key insights against historical price strategy results and recommendations for future actions within the day to day business, and inside the quarterly review and 3 year planning process.
6. Responsible for providing super-user support to the Merchants on pricing systems and tools.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Years of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years

Strong influencing skills

Strong analytical and quantitative skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Must be proficient in Excel
