The Senior Manager, Pricing Data will be responsible for leading the pricing data strategy, governance, and operational execution to support pricing analysis and model development. This role will focus on strengthening data pipelines, resolving long-standing data issues, improving reconciliation processes, and enhancing data quality for pricing decisions. The Senior Manager will oversee a team of data analysts and automation technologists, act as the primary bridge between pricing, IT, and data science, and establish scalable processes for efficient intake and resolution of data issues and needs.

Establish a clear pricing data strategy to support more accurate pricing decision and better competitiveness and profitability. Balance work of strategic importance with urgent data requests.
Establish a structured data governance framework to ensure pricing data integrity, lineage tracking, and compliance of pricing data processes and computing.
Develop a roadmap for automating data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation, reducing reliance on manual processes.
Be responsible for the integration and validation of IT data production.
Define and implement data validation checks to proactively detect and resolve inconsistencies before they impact pricing models.
Oversee the team’s shared email intake process, ensuring all data issues and requests are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
Manage the JIRA ticketing system, improving prioritization, workflow efficiency, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Act as the escalation point for sophisticated data issues, ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely resolution.
Advance data consolidation between rate indication, model development, rate change analysis, rate change implementations, and monitoring.
Partner with pricing actuaries, Earnix teams, and IT developers to streamline data flows, automation, and deployment.
Work with IT and data governance teams to establish audit trails for pricing data changes and adjustments.
Lead the migration of manual data processes to Python-based automation, working closely with the automation technologist.
Identify bottlenecks in data processing and implement solutions to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
Implement self-serve reporting and data access tools to reduce ad hoc data requests.
Manage and mentor a team of data analysts and automation technologists, setting clear goals and important metrics.
Build a strong technical and problem-solving culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
Improve documentation of pricing data sources, known issues, and resolution workflows to reduce inefficiencies.
Deep understanding of pricing data flows and unique data challenges in insurance, including transformations, storage, and usage.
Proficiency in using SQL, SAS, and Python for data ETL.
Familiarity with Earnix, TM1, and cloud-based data solutions is an asset.
Experience implementing and maintaining data governance and validation frameworks.
Strong background in JIRA or similar ticketing systems for managing data requests and issues.
Proven experience leading a data team, ideally within a pricing, analytics, or data function.
Ability to align data priorities with business objectives and drive execution across multiple teams.
Strong collaborator leadership skills, with experience working cross-functionally with IT, Data Science, and Pricing.
Ability to structure and improve intake, prioritization, and issue resolution processes.
Strong desire in understanding business needs with experience in requirement clarification
Ability to balance urgent requests and improve intake, prioritization, and issue resolution processes.
