Position Summary...
Walmart Connect is Walmart’s retail media advertising platform that allows brands to connect with Walmart customers both online and in store. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Content Marketing Manager to lead our retail media initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and distributing high-quality content across various platforms designed to support the sales team and drive business growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills who can drive content initiatives that effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of products or services to a business audience.
What you'll do...
  • Content Strategy Development:
    • Develop a content strategy tailored to B2B audiences and aligned with sales objectives.
    • Conduct market research to understand target industries, buyer personas, and competitive landscape.
    • Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to identify content needs and opportunities.
  • Sales Collateral Creation:
    • Write, design, and produce various types of brand and sales collateral, including media kit, capabilities deck, case studies, whitepapers and presentations
    • Develop compelling and persuasive content that addresses the pain points and needs of potential customers.
    • Ensure all sales materials are on-brand and consistent in terms of style, tone, and quality.
  • Content Optimization:
    • Implement SEO best practices to enhance the discoverability of digital sales collateral.
    • Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of content and make data-driven improvements.
    • Conduct A/B testing to optimize messaging and format for maximum impact.
  • Content Distribution:
    • Manage the distribution of sales collateral through various channels, including sales enablement platforms, email campaigns and the Walmart Connect website.
    • Work closely with the sales team to ensure they have access to the latest and most effective content.
    • Maintain a content library and ensure that all materials are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Monitor and report on the performance of sales collateral, including metrics such as engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates.
    • Gather feedback from the sales team and customers to continuously improve content.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and recommend enhancements based on performance data.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a B2B content marketer, copywriter or similar role with a focus on sales collateral, ideally with experience in the Canadian market.
  • Experience in media is highly preferred
  • Portfolio of sales collateral and marketing materials created for B2B audiences

Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and consumer insights to make data-driven decisions
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of presenting ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and product launches
  • Ability to both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with sales enablement platforms (e.g., Seismic, Highspot)
  • Strong understanding of media sales processes and buyer behaviors
