Position Summary

Walmart Connect is Walmart’s retail media advertising platform that allows brands to connect with Walmart customers both online and in store. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager, Events to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events to promote our brand and engage with our target audience. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and a passion for event marketing.

What you'll do...

Event Planning and Management:

• Develop and implement event marketing strategies, including an annual large-scale advertiser event, sponsorship and participation in industry trade events, client events, and quarterly team town halls.
• Manage all aspects of event planning, such as venue selection, logistics, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and partners to ensure seamless execution of events.
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown.

Industry Participation and Sponsorships:

• Own and manage the calendar of events for industry participation and sponsorships.
• Identify relevant industry events and ensure strategic participation to enhance brand visibility.

Agency and Client Events:

• Plan and execute events specifically targeted at agencies and clients.
• Develop tailored event experiences that foster strong relationships and drive business growth.

Marketing and Promotion:

• Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote events across various channels (social media, email, website, etc.).
• Develop promotional materials and content to support event marketing efforts.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

Audience Engagement:

• Identify and target key audience segments for event participation.
• Develop strategies to engage attendees before, during, and after events.
• Collect and analyze feedback to measure event success and identify areas for improvement.

Budget Management:

• Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Track expenses and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.

Relationship Building:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Monitor and evaluate event performance metrics.
• Provide detailed reports and insights on event outcomes and ROI.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in event marketing or event management.
• Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale events.
