Job summary

Walmart Canada in Saint John, NB is seeking a Health & Beauty Department Supervisor to lead Health & Beauty, Pharmacy – OTC, and Cosmetics, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient task completion.

The role plans and executes department activities, coaches associates through teaching and training, leads daily huddles, and maintains a safe, clean, and merchandised store environment in partnership with the Store Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with product selection and purchase decisions.
• Coordinate task completion and daily priorities with input from the Food & Consumables Coach and Store Management Team.
• Oversee Health & Beauty department presentation, merchandising, and corrective actions as needed.
• Lead daily team huddle, share updates, set goals, and track productivity.
• Assign associates to coverage and availability tasks across the store; support coaching and development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment and ensure displays are secure and debris-free.

Position Summary...Assists in the leadership of the Health and Beauty areas (Health and Beauty, Pharmacy – Over the Counter and Cosmetics) and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries and develop associates through teaching and training. Ensure a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.Plans and executes department activities based on workload and operational functions and assists on the salesfloor as required.What you'll do...1.Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate2.Assists in providing directions and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food & Consumables Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.3.Assesses the overall presentation of Health & Beauty Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required4.Ensure strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity5.Review completed schedules with People Lead.6. Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.7.Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities.
