Job summary

Walmart Canada, Thompson, MB, is seeking a Health & Beauty Department Lead to assist in Health & Beauty, Pharmacy – OTC and Cosmetics. You will help deliver outstanding customer service, respond to inquiries and support associates through coaching and training.

Responsibilities include planning department activities, guiding workload, merchandising, supervising schedules, and ensuring safety and cleanliness. The minimum hourly rate starts at CAD 20.75.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate
• Assists in providing directions and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food & Consumables Coach and the Store Management Team. Delegate, assist and follow-up on completion of daily Customer Availability process tasks.
• Assesses the overall presentation of Health & Beauty Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required
• Ensure strong communication with associates, leads the daily Team Huddle at the start of each shift, and provide the team with updates, set goals, and track productivity
• Review completed schedules with People Lead.
• Assign Associates to support coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
• Tours assigned areas with the Coach and team associates to validate and identify training opportunities. Develops associates through teaching and training and provides feedback as needed.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.

Assists in the leadership of the Health and Beauty areas (Health and Beauty, Pharmacy – Over the Counter and Cosmetics) and department processes, respond to problems and inquiries and develop associates through teaching and training. Ensure a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $20.75.
