Job summary

Walmart Canada in Salmon Arm is seeking an energetic Department Manager to coordinate our salesfloor teams, ensure zoned stock, greet customers, promote products, and drive safe, clean operations.

You will train and coach associates, assign tasks based on workload and traffic, and maintain merchandise flow while delivering excellent service and meeting store standards.

Responsibilities

• Delegate and follow-up on Customer Availability tasks including Section Work, Capping bins, and Stocking picks.
• Delegate and follow-up on price changes and feature sets.
• Delegate and follow-up on modular completion in assigned area.
• Support coverage on the salesfloor and assist with recovery and zoning activities.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, hazard-free environment by following policies and completing safety logs.
• Ensure associate breaks comply with coverage.
• Train and coach associates and provide feedback.

Position Summary...

To provide customer service by coordinating the activities of associates to complete assigned handheld terminal activities. Ensuring a zoned and stocked salesfloor and offering assistance to meet the customer’s shopping needs. This will be accomplished by maintaining and recovering merchandise all in a safe and clean environment. This Department Manager will function as a lead of a team to strategically plan and execute duties based on workload and customer traffic patterns.

What You'll Do...

• Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Delegate, assist and follow-up on the completion of Customer Availability Process tasks - Section Work, Capping bins, Stocking picks.
• Delegate, assist and follow-up on the completion of price changes and feature sets.
• Delegate, assist and follow-up on modular completion in assigned area.
• Delegate and support with coverage in required areas on the salesfloor as needed, support with recovery and zoning activities.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
• Ensuring associate breaks are taken in accordance with coverage.
• Training, coaching and offering feedback to associates.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $20.00.
